Junior pitcher Tyler Graeff pitched 6 1/3 innings of no-hit ball to lead Parkland to a 3-1 win over Central Catholic and their ace David Rosenberger.  In the 7th inning, Central Catholic managed to score one unearned run and their only hit came off a weak ground ball that didn't make it out of the infield grass.  Graeff dominated Central hitters the entire game allowing few hard hit balls and collecting six strikeouts.  Parkland hitters got to Rosenberger in the 2nd inning when Jacob Rosenblatt (1-for-2, R, BB) singled and after advancing to second base on a wild pitch, Rosenblatt scored the game's first run on an RBI single by Chris Rabasco (1-for-3, RBI).  Brandon Evans (1-for-2, RBI, BB) put Parkland up 2-0 in the 3rd inning when he singled home Nick Rabasco (2-for-3, 2R) who had reached base earlier on a single.  The Trojans scored their third run of the game in the 5th inning when Damin Muth (1-for-3, RBI) hit an RBI single.  Jordan Jones (1-for-3) also added a single to the offense.  Graeff was not fazed by the events in the 7th and induced a ground ball for a game-ending 6-4-3 double play to complete his gem and secure the win. image

The Trojans beat the visiting Freedom Patriots after putting up 5 runs in both the 4th & 5th innings for a final score of 13-3.  Senior pitcher Matt Hurd earned is fifth victory of the season hurling a complete game allowing only four hits and striking out five.  After Freedom scored an unearned run in the top of the first to take a 1-0 lead, the Trojans quickly took the lead in the bottom of the inning when Jacob Rosenblatt (1-for-1, 2B, 2R, 2BB, 2RBI) drove a line drive to deep left field for a 2-RBI double.  Parkland went up 3-1 in the 3rd inning after Nick Rabasco (2-for-3, 3B, 2R, BB, 3RBI) led off with a triple and scored on an RBI single by Brandon Evans (2-for-2, 2R, BB, RBI).  Freedom tied the game at 3-3 in the 4th, but Freedom's pitchers had trouble finding the strike zone in the bottom of the 4th.  Trojan batters took advantage of this with patience at the plate and timely hitting.  After walking the bases loaded, Nick Rabasco drove in two runs with a single and Damin Muth (2-for-3, 2B, R, 3RBI) later followed with a 3-RBI double to put Parkland up 8-3.  In the 5th inning, control issues continued to plague Freedom pitchers and the Trojans loaded the bases again when Rosenblatt and Brian Zesch reached on walks and Chris Rabasco (1-for-1, 2R, BB, HBP) reached on a hit-by-pitch.  After an RBI base-on-balls by Cody Callahan (2BB, 2R), Kyle Stinner (1-for-3, R, RBI) drove in another Parkland run with a single.  Following two more RBI base-on-balls, Adam Schneck (1-for-1, RBI) put the game to an end with a hard hit ball up the middle for an RBI single that put the Trojans up by ten runs.
