Despite the cold and windy conditions, Trojan starting pitcher Adam Fye was hot today as he pitched 5 innings, striking out seven with no walks, and allowed only four hits.  Unfortunately, the Trojans bats were cold managing only three hits, including a double by Damin Muth and singles by Adam Schneck and Nick Rabasco.   Governor Mifflin was helped by Parkland's fielding miscues and beat Parkland 3-0.   PitcherTyler Duff worked one inning in relief. image

JV Beats Governor Mifflin 9-2

Posted by John Rabasco at Mar 25, 2012 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )

Justin Afflerbach and Rhett Jacoby each pitched 3 shutout innings for the JV Trojans this afternoon.  A solid offensive effort by the Trojans' bats, including doubles by Zack Miiller and Hudson Rabenold, added to the 9-2 victory.   The Trojan defense turned in a perfect relay from left fielder Evan McAndrew to shortstop Gabe Mosser to catcher Dan Zaccaro for a great tag out play at home.  George Hambel worked one inning in relief.

Posted by John Rabasco at Mar 23, 2012 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )
After a long bus ride to the Pocono Mountains the 2012 PHS JV baseball season got off to a great start. Chad Cury drove in the first run of the season and Alex Flynn was responsible for bringing in the second. The third inning is when the Trojans offense exploded after a 3-run homer by freshman Justin Afflerbach.   Starting pitcher Zack Miiller kept the Warriors to just 3 runs in 3 innings of work and had 6 strikeouts. Evan McAndrew and Connor Higgins each pitched 2 innings of relief and held the Warriors scoreless.   Solid plays by outfielders Brad Vasilik and Andrew Lessel sealed the win with a final score of 8-3.
