On a night when the Parkland Trojans celebrated Youth Night and welcomed local youth baseball players to join them for a night at the ballpark, the Allen Canaries played well, took advantage of Parkland miscues, and ended Parkland's 9-game winning streak with a 8-5 extra innings win.  The game was close the entire night with Parkland taking a 3-0 early lead and then regaining the lead 5-3 after Allen came back to tie it.  John Kucharczuk had an RBI single to lead Parkland to the early lead.  Other hits came from Dan Shaw (1B, 2B), Ben Breiner (1B),  Tyler Graeff (1B), Derek Freibolin (2B), and Nick Rabasco (1B).  Ryan Sutovich had a 2-RBI double that broke the 3-3 tie to give Parkland the 5-3 lead.  Starting pitcher Matt Nelson worked 5 innings, Adam Fye 2 innings, and Matt Hurd 1 inning.  Adam Fye came on in a bases loaded, no outs, jam in the 6th inning and was able to get out of the inning with letting only one run score  Fye ended the inning with 2 strike outs to keep the 5-4 lead.  After Allen tied the game in the 7th inning, the Trojans allowed 3 runs in the top half of the 8th and lost 8-5.

Parkland JV Team Wins Again, 11-4 Over Allen:  The Parkland JV's traveled to West Allentown to take on a pumped up Allen Canaries team.  Parkland took an early lead on rbi hits by Mark Reinart and Nate Kern, but Allen tied up the game at 4-4 before Parkland added two more runs in the 4th.  Starting pitcher Nate Case pitched a nice game into the 4th inning when Chad Cury came on in relief and shut down the Canaries the rest of the way.  Parkland added 5 runs in the 7th to put the game away.
