The Parkland Trojans beat visiting Pleasant Valley in non-conference play by a score of 5-1.  Senior Brian Zesch tossed a complete game for the victory, scattering five hits while striking out five.  After allowing a first inning run to Pleasant Valley, Zesch controlled the rest of the game, working out of a few jams to keep Pleasant Valley scoreless the rest of the way.  Parkland quickly tied the score 1-1 in the bottom of the first when Nick Rabasco (3-4, two 2B, 2 R) led off with a double and later scored on a wild pitch.  Parkland went up 2-1 in the 2nd inning when Jacob Rosenblatt (2-2, R, RBI) led off with a single and then scored on an RBI single by Jordan Jones (2-3, RBI).  The Trojans scored two runs in the 3rd inning on an RBI triple by Tyler Graeff (1-3, 3B, R, RBI) and a sacrifice fly by Rosenblatt.  Parkland scored their fifth run in the 6th inning when baserunners on first and third base executed a double steal.  Contributing to the offense today were Chris Rabasco (2-3) and Brandon Evans (1-4).  imageimageimage
