The Parkland JV's suffered their third consecutive loss when they could not hold a late inning lead, losing to Governor Mifflin by a score of 6-5.  Governor Mifflin took an early 1-0, but Parkland answered in the bottom of the 1st with a run to tie it up at 1-1.  Scott Hudock (1-2, Sac) singled to lead off the inning and Andrew Roth (2 bb, 3 SB, 3R) followed with a fielder’s choice.  After Roth stole second base, Michael Jenkins (1-3,BB, RBI) singled to put runners on the corners.  Kyle Friebolin (1-2, Sac, 2 Rbis) hit a sacrifice fly to score Roth and tie the game at  1-1.

After Parkland's defense allowed two unearned runs to score on errors, their bats got a run back in the bottom of the 3rd inning.  Roth and Jenkins walked, and then Friebolin singled to deep right center to score Roth, cutting Governor Mifflin's lead to 3-2.

Starting pitcher EJ Brandt (5 IP, 3 runs, 2 SO , 3BB) shut down Governor Mifflin in 3rd, 4th and 5th innings.  In the bottom of the 5th, Roth walked and made it to third after stealing second base and advancing to third on a wild pitch.  Jenkins plates Roth with an RBI ground out to tie the game 3-3.  After a Friebolin walk and a Matt Mellinger (1-3, BB, 1 run) single,  pinch hitter Ethan Imler (1-1) was hit by a pitch to load the bases.  Freshman Austin Mueller (1-3, bb, 2 rbis) hit a 2-RBI single to centerfield to put the Trojans in the lead by a score of 5-3.

Relief pitcher Matt Mellinger (2 IP, 3 R, 2 SO, 2 BB) entered the game in the 6th inning.  The Mustangs would go on to score 3 unearned runs to grab back the lead 6-5.  Braedan Duff (1-1) got things going in the 6th inning for the Trojans with a single and he moved to second base on a Hudock sacrifice.  However, Parkland was unable to capitalize and would go scoreless in the last two innings for the 6-5 loss.
