Starting pitcher Braeden Duff (7IP, R, 3 H, 10 SO, 2 BB) hurled a three-hit, complete game with 10 strikeouts to lead the JV Trojans over Northampton by a score of 8-1.  Duff was dominant on the mound, including starting the game by striking out the first three batters he faced.

Parkland struck first offensively in the 1st inning when Ben Trinkle (0-2, R, BB) and Kyle Novobilski (1-3, R, SB) led off the game with back-to-back walks.  A Northamtpon wild pitch allowed them to advance to 2nd and third.  Third baseman Ethan Imler (2-4, R, 2 2B, 2 RBI) then drove a ball to right-center for a 2 RBI double to plate Trinkle and Novobilski and give Parkland a 2-0 lead.  Kyle Friebolin (0-1, 2 R, BB, HBP) then reached base on a walk and Matt Mellinger (1-4) followed with a single.  After a Mike Jenkins (1-3, 2R, BB, SB) fielders choice ground out, Jenkins stole second base to put runners on second and third.  EJ Brandt (2-3, 3B, 4 RBI, R) singled to right for two RBI's and increase Parkland's lead to 4-0.

In the top of the 3rd inning, the Trojans scored three more runs.  Friebolin was hit by pitch and Jenkins walked to put runners on first and second.  Brandt then drove a ball to right field corner for a triple for two more RBI's.  Brandt later scored on a Northampton error to make it 7-0.  The Konkrete Kids get their lone run of the game in the bottom of the 5th with 1 out, after a single and a triple.  Duff got out of the inning by striking out the next two batters to strand the runner on third base.  In the 6th inning, Parkland get the run back, when Imler led off with a double.  Austin Mueller (1-1, RBI) then hit a line drive RBI single to score Imler.

The Trojans bats were not done yet. In the top of the 7th, John Amato (1-2) and Sott Hudock (1-1) both singled, but they would be stranded on base.  Duff finished off his complete game gem by shutting down Northampton in the bottom of the 7th to give Parkland the 8-1 victory.
