Evan McAndrew, Tyler Bruno and Cullan Wadsworth had multi-hit games as the Parkland Trojans scored 11 runs on 13 hits for the 11-1 victory over rival Whitehall Zephyrs in a game called after 6 innings of play.  The Trojans are now 9-0 on the season as they won their fourth game of the season in mercy-rule fashion.  Rhett Jacoby pitched all six innings for the complete game victory allowing one run with one walk while scattering six hits.  Jacoby surrendered the lone Whitehall run of the game in the first inning and took control the rest of the way.  Whitehall did mount a 2-out threat in the 5th inning when they loaded the bases on a walk and two singles, but Jacoby ended the threat with a strikeout.

The Trojans bats were again quick to strike, scoring four runs in the top of the 1st inning.  Jeff Strisovsky (1-for-3, BB, R, RBI) singled, Justin Afflerbach (1-for-4, 2 R, RBI) reached on an error and Chris Rabasco (1-for-3, BB, 2 R) walked to load the bases.  McAndrew (2-for-4, R, 3 RBI) singled to drive in two runs and give Parkland a quick 2-0 lead.  After a Bruno (3-for-3, HBP, R, RBI) bunt single to load the bases again, Jacoby was hit by a pitch to score Rabasco.  McAndrew then scored later on a dropped third strike to put Parkland up by a score of 4-0.

After Whitehall scored in the 1st inning to make the score 4-1, Bruno singled to lead off the 3rd inning.  Jacoby (1-for-3, HBP, R, RBI) followed with a single and Wadworth (2-for-3, BB, 2 R) bunted for a single to load the bases once again.  Austin Mueller (1-for-2, RBI) then hit an RBI single to left field to score Bruno.  Jacoby then scored on a Dan Zaccaro ground out for the 6-1 lead.  Parkland added another four runs in the 5th inning when the first two batters of the inning reached base with a Wadsworth single and a walk to Mueller.  Zaccaro laid down a sacrifice bunt to put runners on second and third base with one out.  Strisovsky drove in Wadsworth with an RBI ground out, and Afflerbach singled up the middle for an RBI.  After a Rabasco single, McAndrew drove in his third run of the game with the RBI single.  Bruno then collected his third hit of the game with an RBI single that scored Rabasco.  Parkland scored its final run in the 6th inning on an RBI sacrifice fly by pinch hitter Kyle Friebolin.  Pinch hitter EJ Brandt (1-for-1) added a single for the Trojans in the 6th inning.  Jacoby then set the Zephyrs down in order in the bottom of the 6th inning to end the game for the 11-1 win.
