The JV team was handed their second loss of the season in a 5-1 game against Nazareth.  The Trojans gave up 4 runs in the 2nd inning that proved to be the difference in the game.  Starting pitcher Christian Kinsley worked 5-1/3 innings, allowing 5 runs on 6 hits and 4 walks, recording 4 strikeouts.  Nick Iannotta pitched 2/3 inning in relief, retiring the two batters he faced, one by strikeout.  The Trojan offense struggled against the Blue Eagle pitching, collecting 3 hits in the game.  Parkland’s lone run was scored in the 2nd inning when Will Algard (1 for 3, R) reached base on error.  Following a Collin Duff walk and a passed ball, Algard scored on a Josh Lee (0 for 3, RBI) ground ball.  The Trojans threatened in several innings, but couldn’t find the key hits needed, leaving 7 runners in scoring position.  Nate Markowicz (1 for 3) singled in the 3rd and Matt Mellinger (1 for 3, double) doubled in the 5th, but both were stranded on base.  The loss drops the team to 8-2 on the season.
