Iannotta Hurls 3-Hitter for Complete Game Win Over Easton
Nick Iannotta pitched a 3-hit complete game to lead the JV Trojans over Easton 6-1. The Red Rovers lone run came in the 7th inning, as an unearned run. Iannotta finished the night with 6 strikeouts while allowing 3 walks.
The Trojan offense scored earlier, jumping out to a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the 1st. Walks by Scott Hudock (0 for 1, BB, 2R), Nick Iannotta (0 for 2, 2BB), and Ethan Imler (1 for 1, BB, R) loaded the bases. With two outs, Nick Stillittano (1 for 3, double, 3RBI) doubled down the left field line to score Hudock, Iannotta, and Imler. Parkland added to its lead in the 2nd inning on a Joey Bolick (1 for 1, BB, R) single followed by a Colin Calpin (1 for 2, RBI) single that scored Bolick. Hudock reached base on a fielder's choice and later scored on an errant throw to first on an attempted pick-off, to give the Trojans a 5-0 lead. Parkland threatened in the 3rd and 4th innings with singles by Will Algard (1 for 3) and Dylan Snyder (1 for 1, RBI), but the Trojans were unable to score.
Parkland added a run in the 6th inning on back to back singles by AJ Palumbo (1 for 1, R) and Landon Annoni (1 for 2) and an Iannotta walk to load the bases. A Snyder sacrifice fly scored Palumbo for a 6-0 lead. Easton scored a run in the top of the 7th before being shut down by Iannotta for the 6-1 win.
