Down a run after one inning of play, the JV Trojans evened the score in the 2nd inning when Ty Conrad drew a walk to lead off the inning, promptly stole second, and scored on a Dylan Miller Rbi single.
The Trojans took the lead in the 3rd inning, scoring two runs.  George Jenkins singled and courtesy runner Joe Webber swiped second and scored on Adam Mellinger’s single.  Miller’s second Rbi single of the day drove in Mellinger, putting the Trojans ahead 3-1.
Whitehall tightened up the score adding a run in the top of the 4th inning but Parkland answered with their fourth run of the game after Jenkins singled and runner Webber was driven in by Matt Ervolina, keeping the lead at two runs, 4-2.
Whitehall battled back, scoring their third run in the 5th inning, but the Trojans were able to open up their lead in the bottom of the 6th.  Anderson Hummer led off with a walk and Jenkins singled.  The runners advanced on Alex Oliver’s sacrifice.  Ervolina singled, scoring Hummer, and Will Algard hit into a fielder’s choice, erasing Ervolina but scoring runner Webber.  Conrad doubled, scoring Algard, extending the lead to 7-3.
Starting pitcher Dylan Snyder went five solid innings, allowing 3 runs on 5 hits and reliever Phil Schoch pitched the final two frames with no hits, striking out three.
