Trojans offense provides cushion in victory over Blue Eagles

The Trojans managed through a push by Nazareth in the first inning in which the Trojans yielded three runs, but the Trojan Varsity Squad still won 10-5 on Wednesday. The Trojans pulled away for good with seven runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Dylan Miller singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, Matthew Ervolina singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, Christian Kinsley singled on a 3-1 count, scoring two runs, and an error scored one run for the Trojans. Adam Smith was the winning pitcher for  surrendering four runs on six hits over five innings, and striking out three. Koby Staivecki and Kinsley entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. The Trojans totaled 15 hits. Joe Webber, Kinsley, Jeremy Piatkiewicz, and Adam Mellinger each had multiple hits on the day. Kinsley and Webber each collected three hits to lead Parkland Trojans Varsity. Also lending hits to the offense on the day were Will Algard, Koby Staivecki and Jared Juharchuck. imageimageimage
