JV Trojans Beat Freedom 12-3

The JV Trojans found themselves down by a score of 3-2 in the 2nd inning, but their bats came alive and combined with effective pitching they dominated the rest of the game for the 12-3 victory over the Freedom Patriots.  Starting pitcher Rhett Jacoby worked five innings on the mound while striking out six.  Relief pitcher Connor Higgins pitched the final two innings and struck out five Patriots.  Alex Flynn continued his hot bat going 2-for-2 with two sacrifice flies and two RBI's.  Kevin Leaswitch was 3-for-4 with three RBI's and Danny Zaccaro was 2-for-4 with two RBI's.  Zack Miiller was 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI's.  Higgins and Jacoby also helped with their bats with Higgins going 2-for-4 and Jacoby 1-for-2 with two walks.

Parkland Downs Pleasant Valley 5-1

The Parkland Trojans beat visiting Pleasant Valley in non-conference play by a score of 5-1.  Senior Brian Zesch tossed a complete game for the victory, scattering five hits while striking out five.  After allowing a first inning run to Pleasant Valley, Zesch controlled the rest of the game, working out of a few jams to keep Pleasant Valley scoreless the rest of the way.  Parkland quickly tied the score 1-1 in the bottom of the first when Nick Rabasco (3-4, two 2B, 2 R) led off with a double and later scored on a wild pitch.  Parkland went up 2-1 in the 2nd inning when Jacob Rosenblatt (2-2, R, RBI) led off with a single and then scored on an RBI single by Jordan Jones (2-3, RBI).  The Trojans scored two runs in the 3rd inning on an RBI triple by Tyler Graeff (1-3, 3B, R, RBI) and a sacrifice fly by Rosenblatt.  Parkland scored their fifth run in the 6th inning when baserunners on first and third base executed a double steal.  Contributing to the offense today were Chris Rabasco (2-3) and Brandon Evans (1-4).  imageimageimage

JV's Stay Hot, Beat Pleasant Valley 11-3

The JV team traveled to Pleasant Valley for a Saturday morning game and headed back home with another victory winning by a score of 11-3.  Starting pitcher Gabe Mosser had another outstanding performance on the mound, working six innings with 11 strikeouts and allowing only one run.  Connor Higgins belted his first homerun and finished the game going 3-for-4 with three RBI's.  The Trojans bats were wide awake this morning with several players enjoying multi-hit games.  Brad Vasilik was 3-for-4 and he scored four runs, Alex Flynn was also 3-for-4 with three RBI's, Ryan Dumbach was 3-for-5 with two RBI's, Zack Miiller was 2-for-5 with an RBI, and Danny Zaccaro was 2-for-3 with a double.  Mark Reinert added a double going 1-for-1.  Relief pitcher Evan McAndrew worked the 7th inning with 2 strikeouts.

Parkland Dominates Allen, Wins 13-3

Parkland's winning streak reached five games with a 13-3 win over Allen in 5 innings of play.  Parkland's 12-hit attack was led by Damin Muth who was 3-for-3 with a single, double, and 3-run homerun with seven RBI's.  Brandon Evans was also 3-for-3 at the plate with three singles and three runs scored.   Tyler Graeff (2-3, 2B, 3 R, 4 RBI) added a single and double and drove in four runs.  Nick Rabasco (1-1, 3 R, 2 HBP), Jacob Rosenblatt (1-3), Chris Rabasco (1-1, R, BB), and Zach Merkle (1-2, RBI) each added one hit.  Jordan Jones added a sacrifice fly.  Adam Fye pitched a complete game for the victory striking out eight Allen batters. image
