The JV Squad notched another win with a 12-6 Victory over Northampton. Phillip Schoch went the bulk of the innings for the Trojans with Harper Puckett Mitchell Marciniak and Mark Leiby in relief.

Offensively the Trojans were on the board early with a run in the first after a Joseph Webber single followed by a Matthew Ervolina walk, and a Jared Kucharczuk FC and an Alex Oliver single. The second inning saw Austin Imler and Mark Leiby with back to back singles followed by walks to Ervolina and Webber and a Sergio Rodriguez single to yield 2 more runs and 3 on the board. An uneventful third and then a run in the fourth courtesy of singles by Kucharczuk and Rodriguez and a Oliver walk and the Trojans had 4 runs. They would double that output between the 5th, 6th and 7th putting up another eight runs with offensive contributions from Webber, Ervolina, Kucharczuk, Rodriguez, Oliver, Joshua Miller and Austin Imler. A total team effort and a 12-6 victory.

Senior Night at Trojan Field saw the Trojans and Mike Jenkins do what they do best in their 3-0 Victory over Northampton; which is pitch and play defense and as an offense be Selfless and Opportunistic in their approach as a lineup while working as a team in the context of what the game gives them. On this night where hits were hard to be had early on Senior Matt Mellinger had the only hit through the first three frames for the Trojan offense. As evidenced by the complete game shutout Senior Mike Jenkins and the Trojans Defense all but completely held Northampton in check with only 4 hits and 0 walks given out during the contest and only 2 baserunners throught the first 4 innnings one which ROE.  In the Bot of 4 it appeared as though a rally was to begin after a CK Kinsley single and a Matt Mellinger sac bunt to move him to second but the inning ended without a score. After Jenkins and the Trojans worked around a single in the Top of the 5th the Trojans took the lead for good after Dylan Miller walked and singles by Adam Smith and Cullan Wadsworth brought him around to score and give the Trojans a 1-0 lead after 5.

Bottom of 6 and the selfless & opportunistic  mentality moved the lead to 3-0 as Matt Mellinger singled and went 1st to 3rd on a single by Senior Austin Mueller who promptly stole 2nd. Senior Mike Jenkins then received the intentional pass to 1st to load the bases with Jeremy Piatkiewicz coming in to pinch run. Adam Mellinger hit into a FC and Mueller scored on a passed ball with Piatkiewicz scoring after successive walks to Will Algard and Dylan Miller and the Trojans had a 3-0 Victory on Senior Night!

The Squad, Staff and Fans would like to thank all of the Seniors for their contributions to Parkland Baseball over the years while wishing them the best in both Baseball and Life in the future! THANK YOU SENIORS!  NOW BRING HOME THE SHIP!

The Trojans travelled to Birdsboro to face Daniel Boone on Saturday and lost 2-1. The Pitching and defense was good enough to keep the game close, unfortunately the Lineup was not able to capitalize with runners on base resulting in another close loss on the Season for the Team.  The trio of Palumbo, Bollu and Mellinger limited the boys from Boone to 4 hits on the afternoon but it was enough for them to put 2 runs and a W on the board against the Trojans on this day. The first 3 innings were quick and resulted in a scoreless game. In the Top of the CK Kinsley led off with a singel and stole second and was moved to 3rd on a deep fly out to RCF by Austin Mueller, however, the Trojans did not score. daniel Boone got on the board first in the bottom of the 4th to take a 1-0 lead. Playing Nazareth on consecutive days the Blue Eagles came out swinging and were able to jump out to a 2-0 lead after the 1st inning. With the only hit in the Home half a Cullan Wadsworth single. The JV Trojans suffered a tough loss on Wednesday after battling back to take the lead late only to lose the game in the final inning. After yielding a first inning run to Nazareth the Trojans were stingy behind Sergio Rodriguez blanking the Blue Eagles until the final and decisive inning. Based on the amount of runs the JV Squad has been putting on the board game after game all season long, one would have to view this game as an outlier offensively. Through the first 5 innings only 3 Trojans amssed hits against Nazareth, singles by Joseph Webber, Mark Leiby, Austin Imler. In the Top of the 6th the Trojans posted 3 runs courtesy of a lead off single by Austin Imler then a trio of knocks by Joseph Webber, Matthew Ervolina and Jared Kucharczuk. Unfortunately the comback was brief as Nazareth posted 5 runs in the bottom of the frame to secure the victory.
