Steve Benavage and Ryan Schmidt along with 23 other teammates will have the opportunity to play at Citizens Bank Park on Monday. The LV team defeated the Catholic League team by a score of 9-8. The win will offer the LV team at least one game at the Phillies new home. Steve Benavage and Ryan Schmidt each had a hit in today's win. The L V team will now play Tri-Cape in the semi-final game at 7 PM on Monday June 21. The Championship game will be played at Citizens Bank Park on Tuesday June 22 at 7 PM.

Carpenter Cup Team

Steve Benavage and Ryan Schmidt were selected to the Lehigh Valley Carpenter Cup team. The Carpenter Cup Classic is a 16-team, tri-state all-star tournament sponsored by the Philadelphia Phillies. The tournament is single elimination. The Lehigh Valley team opened play in the 2004 Carpenter Cup at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 16 against Suburban American at the University of Pennsylvania's Murphy Field. Lehigh Valley defeated Suburban American 6-3 in the openning round game. Lehigh Valley, which won the title in 1998 and 2001, will play Philadelphia Catholic. The game will be played at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, June 19 at the University of Pennsylvania's Murphy Field. The winner advances to Play at Citzens Bank Park at 7 p.m. Monday, June 21. The semifinals are scheduled for 3 and 7 p.m. Monday, June 21, and the championship game is set for 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 22. Both the semifinals and final will be played at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.

2004 Parkland Trojan All-Stars: Eric Rosner - Lehigh Valley Division 3rd Baseman Rick Seltzer - Lehigh Valley Conference 1st Baseman Garrison Rausch - Lehigh Valley Conference Outfielder Four seniors will be representing Parkland in the 2004 All-Star Game at Limeport Stadium on June 5th: Garrison Rausch (OF, P), Rick Seltzer (1B), Steve Geisel (P), and Eric Rosner (3B) Two seniors were selected to play in an All-Star game at Lackawanna County Stadium on June 13th: Garrison Rausch and Rick Seltzer

June Baseball Booster Club Meeting Cancelled

The monthly Baseball Booster Club Meeting has been cancelled. The meeting was cancelled due to the various Legion, Jr. Legion and Connie Mack teams all have games scheduled for tonight (Friday June 11, 2004). Additional information will be posted concerning the Booster Club (i.e. Treasures report, revision of the Bylaws and the Nomination of 2004-2005 Baseball Booster Club Officers). Any questions or concerns contact Rick Rosner (Parkland Baseball Booster Club President).
The District XI playoff game between Parkland vs Northampton has been rescheduled. Date and Time - TBA.
