Parkland High School Baseball

We have posted the original intramural schedule on the calendar. It starts in January. THIS SCHEDULE WILL CHANGE. Because of school activities, weather issues, and last minute events in the Aux Gym this schedule will change…..so always check this schedule before coming to any sessions.

JV nights are for all 9th graders and the 10th graders that did not play JV last year. Varsity nights are for everyone else. If you have a conflict in a particular week please let us know and we might be able to switch which sessions you come to for that week. Please note the first workout is for all pitchers and catchers regardless of grade. More details will be provided as we get closer to January.

At this time of the year unless you have some college showcases lined up it is our recommendation that you give your arm a rest. We will build everyone up starting in January.

Those of you playing basketball, wrestling or swimming for Parkland we will see you when your season ends. Enjoy your winter sport. We will see you after it is over.

Wednesday November 10 will be our last outside workout for 2021.

All 9th graders and the 10th graders that did not play JV last year should be ready to start at 5:15. Your session will end at 7PM this week. All 11th and 12th graders and 10th graders who played JV last year should report at 6:45. You will be on the field from 7:00-8:30.

If we need to cancel due to weather a message will be posted here and on Twitter @trojansandlot.

Attached to this announcement is a form that all players need to complete. Fill out the form and hand it in at a lifting session on a Tuesday or Thursday or a Wednesday night session. The form will also be emailed to you if you have signed up already.

Don’t forget there is Lifting/Conditioning on Tuesday and Thursday 7-9 in the weight room

WEDNESDAY NIGHT OPEN FIELD
Starting September 15 and running until October 29th the coaches will be at the Varsity Baseball Field from 5:30-7:30PM. We will organize workouts to reinforce proper fundamentals for those who can attend. This is a voluntary program open to anyone in grades 9-12 who intends to try out for the team in March. Last minute cancellations will be tweeted out through the Parkland Baseball Twitter account (@trojansandlot) and posted on this page.

BASEBALL LIFTING/CONDITIONING SCHEDULE
Chad Waelchli will again oversee our offseason lifting and conditioning program. This is a voluntary program for any Parkland students in grades 9-12 interested in playing baseball. We will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays at the weight room in the high school. The program starts October 5 and runs until January 6. The sessions are from 7:00-9:00PM. Chad’s services are paid for by the Booster Club. Last minute cancellations will be tweeted out through the Parkland Baseball Twitter account (@trojansandlot) and posted on this page.

If you intend on trying out in the spring please fill out the following SignUp Form so we have current contact information. I also suggest you look for future announcements in school, follow our twitter account @TrojanSandlot, and register on this website so you are notified when new announcements are posted.

Varsity Intramurals for Friday 3/5 have been cancelled due the school hosting the Swimming districts. Saturday had previously been cancelled. Please check the website over the weekend for details on the tryouts which start Monday.

Our times and dates are posted on the calendar. Varsity means all Juniors and Seniors AND all sophomores that were on the JV team last year. JV means the rest of the Freshmen and Sophomores.

This schedule WILL change. Please keep checking back on this website. Our first workout on Monday could be in jeopardy due to snow. If that is canceled everything will change.
